I was always lead to believe Ant plus was supiour.
My ant plus dongle plays up with all the sweat on it. Time for a new one.
Put the new one in a sandwich bag to stop the sweat

Cheers. I'm trying to catch you up - but got a looooong way to go

😄

Don’t set your sights so low! 😁

Seriously though I think you’re in the right ballpark mate. There’s a few of us hovering in and around 4w/kg now. On a hilly course you could put some damage in!

So a few of you were impacted by the VM outage yesterday. And there is some chat about running Ethernet cables. Depending on what VM package you are on you can get free WiFi boosters. They are basically power line adaptors with WiFi extenders. I use them for zwift in my detached garage. Use a laptop with ethernet to the power line and WiFi for the companion app. It all works seamlessly and it's a fairly naff laptop (i3, 4gb, intel graphics). I did put an SSD in to speed it up a bit. In negotiations for a new laptop as my wife is now using it for working from home.

The NEO Smart bike.
It’s a stunner, heavy and rock solid in use. Despite having wheels on the back it is not at all easy to manoeuvre. I have it on a mat and move it around relying on the mat to slide into position.
It has taken a few days to sort bike fit. I didn’t realise the BB is a little higher than either of my bikes and that threw me for a while. I think it’s sorted now- just need to raise saddle a smidge.
What’s it like to ride? Well, without the NEO’s movement I have had to adapt my riding style a bit. To be honest I didn’t like it at first and had a bit of buyers remorse but after 6 rides and, just now a race, I can say I am really glad I persevered. For example I had a bit of inner leg brush on the casing but that’s only noticeable when fully sat up and spinning slowly. I didn’t notice it at all in the race. Nor my cool down. Did I say it’s rigid?!? I did wonder if I could adapt but I have. Sprint power up over 100 watts and a new threshold peak in recent days suggest its not doing me any harm. Would I recommend it to any NEO owners? Not sure. If you need a bike to share with family then definitely. If not then aside from the kudos and pleasure of having one and protecting your favourite steed a NEO remains an truly excellent choice. I was lucky to have 2 ppi payouts and unlucky enough to have several cancelled cycle trips this year freeing up some money for this rather than an aero bike. That will be next year.

To be fair bob you can get it to rock. You just have to put a bit of power through it ;)

Only on big events do I tend to notice a pause in the graphics. Hell its nothing compared to the old Bkool days but we wont go into that. Actually looking at Steens ride videos, bkool have done a decent job. Just not enough riders on bkool to tempt me back

Just to prove my point. This is a screenshot from tonight's CycleChat handicap race. Only about a handful CycleChat'ers in it:

Since the lockdown hit Spain and a few other countries. But mostly Spanish riders, which is to be expected on a Spanish platform. And the number is now 107...

The Spanish went crazy with their cycle exercise lockdown. You could still walk to the supermarket and stand in a queue, but not go for a solo ride:wacko:
