Need to rest ... feeling pretty sh1t
How long was the race? Sounds very much like a Crit

Well that was interesting. Went well for me tonight, lost the second group out of the pens but thought shoot or bust, threw everything to get back to them. Glad I did. Hung in for the rest clawing back a few spots here and there, rode with Michael most of the way Seem to do ok on the lumps and had a bit left at the end. 29th spot finish so well happy with that.highest w/kg over that distance for me aswell ^_^

I kept with that group over the first climb but was dropped to a third group the second time round the climb...which I stayed with for a lap then dropped again on the 3rd big climb.

Was absolutely dying. Not sure I would have kept going if @Brendan Parker wasn't in the first group and @Freelanderuk in the second . Happy with the best 20min power this year-

I was registered to Tidal few weeks ago and i am very happy about sound quality, i have also Spotify but i listen more Tidal. Tidal have more lossless quality which was a main reason to pay more about better audio stream.

Not sure, but most races I have been doing lately, the cats have been completely separated, i.e. the B’s do one race with only B’s in it, the C’s another with only C‘s and so on.
The Kiss 100 Americas on Sunday had A and B, and, C and D start together, one minute apart. Knowing how zwift starts work I ramped it up to 470 watts with 10 seconds to the flag drop, and managed to lead the group as we joined the course. I then fell steadily back through the group's until I was trailing at the back of the D's ... Eventually dropped out of the event after 77 km ... Lot of work to do to regain fitness ... It would help if I wasn't 77Kg 😭 I'll get back to 65kg but it's going to be painful

I think I quit after about 30 mins. Guy I was behind at the time finished on the hour, which shows how far off the pace I was compared to the rest of our team! Had been a bit chesty all day but wasn't quite expecting the asthma to kick off. Got a stinking headache now so think I have a bit of a bug which has triggered the asthma.

Oh well. The only way is up ^_^

Well done everyone else 👍 Def be joining the C's next week - no point me being completely at the back when I could be helping the C cat guys

Looking forward to you at the sharp end of the C cat again pretty soon 👍

Hope you're feeling ok @Whorty

That was ridiculously fast at the start. I sprinted to stay with the first group early on but then got dropped on the first 10% ramp. Spent the rest of the race in a group of 5 until 1km from the end when we got swallowed up by a fast finishing group. Ended up midway in the group sprint.

Looks like it's going to be tough to get any points in B cat (other than for finishing)
Cheers Pete. One of those things I think. Bit of a cold bug, central heating on full for wife, fast start and Booom .... asthma attack. Happens every now and then, but I'll keep taking the 'Froomey' special and I'll be all good again in a few days :okay:

Well it sounds like the A race was as just as much fun as the B’s.

I spent the warm up faffing with my HRM which has been playing up now for over a week - multiple battery changes, licks of the battery () and Vaseline on the terminals and it still not reliable. It’s a Wahoo tickr, must check the warranty as it can’t be any more than 6 months old max!! So no HRM = automatic DQ from the race results,

So any back to the race... I was hanging after a couple of kms, held on to the lead group over the first of the bumps, but was on the Rev limiter and got dropped 7 - 8 minutes into the race. With no HRM my head wasn’t in it but I soldiered on and got in a group of 4 for the remaining 25km. We worked well together just to get around. with 6km to go I gave it a big kick on the climb / descent and managed to solo the rest for the glory of 65th place.
Again disappointing overall and demoralising to get another kicking from the A’s. @<Tommy> this is what is in store for you too!! ^_^ Despite this it turned into a very good workout. Roll on a downgrade to Cat B!!

@IrishAl

Did you get my last message about the HRM, I was having the same problem ,when I finished Zwifting I would take mine off and hang it over the handlebars , and next time nothing but problems , I now take it off and hang it up on the back of the bedroom door away from my zwifting set up and no more problems
