So beer sounds healthier than wine judging by the past couple of posts. I'll try both just to be sure
Well I have just drunk this and no spinning room so 👍 from me😁

I’ve signed up for this on a last minute brainwave from a mate who is now unsure if he can make it. If he can manage it , it will be more of a social steady ride , if not , I will give it my best and see how it goes. Be good to see you there Andy and Tommy.

Not good mate ..... lesson learned ... stay away from this 🥕🌽🥬🥦🥑 green stuff, and get some of this 🥓🥩🍗🍖🌭🍔🍛🍤 down your neck 👍
I bought bag of salty licorice and 200gr chocolate bar today. Bought a candies i had this idea from Finnish cycling forum when somebody mentioned his latest purchase. It was 3kg English licorice and rubber hammer . Didn't need a hammer so i satisfied candies.

That'll be good. Im treating as a trundle(literally) down memory lane, going over roads I used to cycle as a kid with my mates from school. I lived in a village called Menston, up the road from Otley, Ilkley. I went to school in the nearby town of Guiseley. I worked in Ilkley and Otley and used to go to Leeds as a young man. That's where I caught my wife, now of 3 million years married

If you are staying in Leeds the night before I can meet up for a pre event beer:okay:

I am still waiting for my Assioma Duo’s to arrive from Italy. Looking forward to comparing to the NEO and finding out what has happened to my leg power imbalance.

I've signed up for the long route but I've put my expected time as 6 hrs so they will put me in the slow coach starting gate.
I'll be watching the race on Saturday in Heptonstall where my brother lives.

No never done the Greenhow climb. Its a big one for the area.

The East Chevin is a famous one. Ive cycled it a few times. I did it when I was a young lad and when I bought my Boardman cyclo-cross bike from Otley. I wasn't as fit, I literally crawled up the hill, blew up within yards of the crest and had to walk

Like a lot of hills in the UK, instead of snaking up a hill, they just go for it in a straight line. The locals must have been mad:wacko:

If possible, we could all meet up the night before:okay:

Yesterday i did comparison with Quarq DZero and Drivo 2. I rode 1hr workout session on Trainerroad and DZero avg power was 158w and Drivo 2 164w, that is from Garmin connect. Strava shows 156w for DZero and Drivo 2 same 164w as Garmin connect. Drivo 2 was paired to Trainerroad and DZero to Garmin Edge 1000 and both was connected to ant+.

Day 14 today. Looking to do a gentle 30-40 min spin in an hour or so (hospital for wifey this arvo so need to get ride in this morning - she has a lovely set of injections to look forward to .... or are those injections for me?!? Hope WADA don't find out ).

This past 2 weeks have helped me to jump start my efforts for this year. Done some hard workouts, hard races and the odd easy pootle. Not really fatigued like I thought I would. Given me things to focus on for the next 6 months as I build up to ToC. I'm hoping that ToC will deliver a newer more improved Whorty :training:

Very hard to do properly - but ensure you take enough rest days. Improvement only happens when you stop. It has always been a problem of mine.

Once work starts again next week, I think the rest days will come naturally. My aim is to ride 4-5 days a week, split between racing and workouts/longer rides. I've been quite surprised how well I still feel after 14 days straight riding; don't feel like I need a rest, although I know my body will benefit from it.

Slightly humbled from having just looked at our Strava club and realising how many rides/miles some of you guys are fitting in each week - I thought I was quite active but I'm WELL down the leaderboard! I'm reassuring myself a little bit that I'm not a complete slacker because I do 2 or 3 runs per week which aren't included in that, but even so - blimey, good work everyone
