Hmmm bugger

Tried joining and rejoining in the app but no joy. Don't think I'll be able to do it on Thursday either but I'll have to see. 🙁

Good luck all!

Well ridden everyone, especially @Del C - my pan was to try and get you to ride most of the stage and kick hard on the final few KM, but I shot myself in the foot by not realising where the segment ended and was pushing my hardest after the end of the segment so only took one second out of your lead. Will probably lose 2nd place in C cat now!

Still - it was a good workout. Unlikely I will be able to ride on Thursday because we are moving house on Friday ^_^

1:09:35 for me please @peterob :okay: https://www.strava.com/segments/21344251

Just got back in, been out all day ... interested in times on the doors so I know what to look forward to on Thursday :hyper:

Re the conversation on re-runs etc, I'm in the camp of the least rules the better as it causes less arguments and accusations of 'unfair' times, and would I think put too much pressure on Paul and possibly Pete to police the rules.

I like the 4 basic principles of:
  • TT bikes only on TT courses
  • No TT bikes on none TT courses
  • We can't join official Zwift races to set a time due to the added draft advantage
  • No ERG (although as my little test showed, there may be little benefit anyway of doing a race this way but I think as a principle let's say no)
Anything else goes. This should be really easy to self police.

I personally have no issue with someone doing the course 2 (e.g. on race days) or more times to better their time. Some of the effort required is bonkers, so anyone wanting to wreck their bodies to gain the odd second is equally bonkers :o)

Aha!

My plan was to ride with you and just stay as close as possible. That would mean I maintained my gap at the top of the C Cat league.

It all worked out ok for me, except for the fact that neither of us realised the race ended at the bottom where we turned back into Titans Grove. So at that point Nick kicked. I was tired but set out just to keep the gap somewhere around 30 seconds. I think we both were killing ourselves until @bridgy told us the race ended 3kms ago!:laugh::laugh:

So, 1.09.36 for me please @peterob

Oh and BTW I agree with @bobinski - that course is a killer!

Blimey that was a tough one tonight!

More than pleased with how I went though. I was able to stay pretty strong up the main climb. I lost @berty bassett's wheel a couple of times but was able to get back on. But as soon as the road turned up to the tower I was toast. I'd hoped that I may be able to jump on to Tommy's wheel over the top but it was all I could do to look up as he shot right past

Well done everyone who tackled that tonight. I don't think anyone will want to do that one again this week

1:02:31 for me.

LIVING THE DREAM
Well that was bloomin awful - and made worse by having to watch my rivals in the league ride away from me and being completely unable to respond!

My running's going well though

Seriously though well done everyone - tough stage!

Binned my ride. All was going well until the dip before the final climb to the summit.
I got caught out there before so I dropped onto the inner ring and spun up like a roller racer but the propped resistance never came back, it was like riding up a 3%.
Not so keen on these undulating rides though.
