Whorty, you need multi hour steady rides if you can fit them in. This will give you the endurance to ride around zone 2 heart rate. Raise your cadence to 95rpm, it really helps in keeping the fatigue from the legs as the hours rack up.
Yes, that's my problem. I only find time for rides up to 1.5 hours. I'm out of work from end of this month so will then have 2 months to get some hours and miles in the old legs. Wife has lots of jobs lined up for me around the house so riding will be a welcome distraction

600 more feet of climbing then I'll take delivery of the much sought-after Tron bike. Didn't realise I was so close otherwise I would have went back up Box today.
How many feet to get that?

Christ 500 watts:eek: i had ftp tonight of 248 i think the zwift gods are smiling on you^_^, think your right about the dnf there was a lot i think that didn't make the full course over 100 started only about 80 on the final table standings.
My wife keeps reminding me that DD is not far away:angry: im SO under prepared
Close to 120 started. When I got kicked out I was last in the C group and although tired I knew I could finish, so really peeved that BT decided I needed an early shower! The partial ride doesn't show up in Strava and the FIT file won't load to bkool so that's annoying too. Hey ho. Onwards and upwards.

The 500 was only out of the blocks, soon dropped once I realised I'd gone off too fast! Overall watts for the distance I covered was 170, so loads lower than Sunday which was clearly incorrect. I think 170 is about right at the moment for me on zwift.

Best bang for your pound for 1.5 hours would be 'sweetspot' pace. I do a 1.5 hour session on trainer road, which comprises of a warm up then 3 x 20 mins intervals at 15-20bpm below max heart rate. I relax for 5 mins between each interval. I cant quote power because everyone is different. My heart rate rises about 5 bpm over the courses of the interval and I can only just hold a conversation, to give you an idea of intensity. Also these intervals allow you to work on cadence aswell.

I didn't do more than 2 multi hour rides before I went to Tenerife( all my training was less than 2 hours, alot sweetspot pace) and was able to ride for 6 hours without dying. Yes it was hard but I should be for

My pro was way over powered on Zwift at first and then some magic combo of ant+ fec and unplugging and plugging back in, perhaps even a weight reset meant everything settled down. As it did in TR? No silly 1300 watts on sprints anymore:angry:^_^ but steady figures suggesting an ftp of 280. Of course the NEO now says my ftp is 232 I think so the pro was still overreading on the flats in particular but consistently so. I have to say though the last bsim update did reintroduce the variables but not as pronounced and was one of reasons I ditched the pro. I could have got a PM but at that point worries about my knee suggested better off riding indoors.

Really hope my pro wasn't overeading last night, as anything lower than 170 would make me scarily slow and underpowered!!!

good luck, let us know how it goes.
Going to do some hills on big ring vr tomorrow start to put some proper power in the legs.

Finished second losing out on a sprint finish. Group of 6 broke away and pretty much stayed together until the end.

I could have done with some 'power ups' on the last lap, particularly an aero one for the sprint, but alas no joy.

Great fun and an excellent workout though.

Did the Espresso ODZ race this morning before work.

Thought I was a B paced rider... Back down to C next time I think! Came 3rd from last, pipping 2nd to last with a sprint in the last 200 meters! Don't know if I should feel bad for drafting him over the last 500m but all is fair in racing and war... right?

New flux was much more responsive than the smart flow I was using, and much more even power throughout the stroke. Only way from here is up!
