Wow Tommy, great ride- I had no answer at all to that! :notworthy:

Did you guys notice that the segment finish line was AFTER the meetup end? That wa sa bit unfiortunate because some of you - like me - probably stopped after the meetup end not realisiing the timed segment ended slightly up the road.

I think I will have to make a new segment on strava to use for our times which finishes where our meetup did. Won't make much difference to anyone like Lee who do it alone but at leaset it won't penalise others. I can see on strva exactly where the meetup ends because I purposefully stopped pedalling as soon as the meetup finished knowing that I hadn't seen the segment finish banner.

Thanks Andy

The funny thing is a twisted my ankle a bit earlier and I’ve been limping around the house all day, but it felt fine on the bike. Maybe adrenaline took over. I’ll probably pay for it later😄.

That was the best I’ve felt since I busted my hand and I guess it showed. I put my weight down to what it actually is (77kg from 79kg) so I guess that made a difference too. But the power I managed to sustain is very satisfying. I think I must of averages around 300w for the whole thing but Im no good at finding the right segments.

Great ride from you too Paul. I thought you were going to come back at me before the summit to be honest. I hate that stretch though I’m probably not alone in that.

I did the same thing. Slowed down after the meet up line then saw the banner and wasn’t sure. Probably only lost a couple of seconds though.

Dipped in to watch the 'four' hammer up the Pretzel. Interesting to see different cadences, threshold HR power etc. Tommy was on fire today :okay:
not sure I 'hammered' up  Ground my slow way up is more like it

I rode on to the banner as I know all Strava "Zwift verified" segments are banner to banner. When I spotted that the meetup finished before the banner I pinged @BurningLegs a message. Not seen that before though.

How do you do it at that cadence? My knees would complain
I just get into a tempo and just turn the pedals. Got used to it riding the SS, so when I set the gears to the same as my SS it doesn't feel too bad. Must confess though I had to lower the gears to get up to the Tower - no way I could do that at 70 gear inches  I manage to hold a higher watt at lower cadence on gradients - Zwift upped my FTP today to 233 👍
