think i would do what you are thinking of and hire one out there
no hassle lugging it about or anything like that
but maybe look at pre booking it before you go so you know they have got one you want ?

What you need to do is sell bike not happy with, up spec of Giant frame to Durace electronic hydro. use cheap and cheerful frame on turbo.

Andy, good ideas but sadly not enough money for Dura ace etc.

Lee, Waiting for Giant to finish checking the frame out. If they say no then likely to hang the ultrega etc on a caad12 frame. Mind you the full bikes are now showing in the sales...
Then i will move the other bike on. I have an 11 speed Alfine set with versa shifters and a old spare dynamo wheel so i could build up that frame with those bits and sell it on as a winter bike and then transfer the 105 etc onto a Dolan RDX frameset from their outlet. if i do it right i should make some money which can notionally got towards the caad 12.

A little research suggests Menorca is more trail and off road riding so i will likely hire bikes for me and the nipper to tear around on

just built my first bike up - got an old frame of ebay and robbed all the bits of the turbo frame to put on the new turbo frame - apart from a couple of silly mistakes i made - i really enjoyed doing it
something really satisfying about cleaning bearings and re- greasing

Ive built 2 complete bikes from frame up and spec'd all the nice bits myself, like you Lee, its very rewarding seeing and riding the finished article.

First go on Road Grand Tours. Did a bit of Mont Ventoux. From Malaucene to not far from TS memorial. Hard work but could be decent once the graphics are sorted and there is people to chase down!

When I stopped I was 8km form the memorial. Anyone know how far it is from there to the very top? I had more in the tank just got a bit bored tbh.
