Okay, so it's very different than Rex Domestique what is very thick, i use sometimes hairdryer to help pull into links better. This hydro lube is more expensive in Finland 29€/bottle, just noticed that in CRC it's only 16,99€. But it's interesting to see difference with these too lubes in usage.

Wow that’s crazy money!

I’ve never tried the Rex lube to be honest. Just seen a YouTube clip that says it’s waxed based so that’ll explain why it’s a bit thicker.

Juhal I guess you’re paying more because of higher import duties maybe? €29 for chain lube is insane. If you find things cheaper in the uk, I don’t mind posting them over to you if it works out better for you that way.

Just done a interval workout on Zwift. Out of interest (I know, not really interesting, but I do ride my bike in a garage), I put on my vector 2's to compare the power readings against the Kickr.

The session consisted of:
10 min warmup at 170W
5 sets of 4mins at 285W with 2 mins at 170W

I've not done a thorough analysis, but....
During the warmup, the Kickr appeared to report 10-20W more than the vector 2's
Once the power kicked in and the Kickr got warm, it was under-reporting by 10-20W (for both the 285W and 170W intervals).
In total over the whole 40min session, the average power reported by my Kickr was 226W and Vector 2's was 235W.

Not very scientific but I may have to start using my vector 2's with Zwift!

I performed a factory spindown after the session and will redo the exercise soon to see if that makes any difference.

Thanks Tommy but i can easily order products from CRC for example, i have order products from there many times and from other web stores too. I think one reason higher prices in Finland is because people order lot of products from internet and Finnish stores can't compete them, prices stays high. For now i just want to have product little bit faster, that's why i order it from here. Next time i order from somewhere else. In Germany Bike24 hydro lube cost 15,99€ too.

There’s a fair number using vectors tobrace in preference to their NEO’s.
Assioma’s for the win.

I did something similar yesterday Kickr18/Vector3's. Today on the workout I did the readings were very gear selection dependant. Because the workout was asking for two seperate cadences at very similar powers 185w@60rpm and 190w@90rpm. I found I had to drop 2 cogs to maintain a similar power on the 185w sections for some reason. I'm not sure how far out my V3's are reading but free riding the kickr/vectors are very similar, it is only in erg mode I seem to see this shift.

Some more checking to be done.

That is interesting Pete. I’ve been thinking about it a little the last couple of weeks. I think you should be incouraged that the two numbers are pretty close. I should do a similar test with my power meter really.

I also found it interesting what uclown said about neo taking power from a 3 second average. It must be easier to control your position in a group and react to other people if your power if it is taken and used more instantly. I wonder if the kickr does the same thing.

You can also select from Zwift settings power display instant or 3 second avg. I have assume that power source is using that setting. I believe that 3 sec avg is a common way.

Somehow i thought that too, i guess we can say that is bit of useless feature?.

Showing 3 second average power is useful when you’re trying to keep to a certain power number. If it changes instantly you can find yourself trying to make small adjustments constantly.

But showing the power number and reporting the power number are two different things. As Andy says reporting power instantly will make it easier to react to a breakaway. That’s not the only time it’s useful though. It allows you to judge your own attacks better. It’ll be useful when you first hit a gradient, when you’re trying to maintain the same position in a pack, when you get dropped from the pack, etc etc etc.

Basically the sooner you can react to any situation the better.
