I am waking between 5 and 6am at the moment so 8am sounds ideal.

I’m going to sign up for the 8am but I’m not 100% going to ride it. Do people stay as a group?

Some treat it as a race, but you can get groups who stick together

Like Dean says some will race off but I won’t and in fact most wont. It’s a long ride with a lot of climbing.

Away for the weekend with HID. Took the opportunity whilst she was getting pampered this afternoon to get out on the bike and pootle around Westmorland for a couple of hours. Due to earlier snow and the wind I didn't go to the hills but did a route following the NCR 68. Despite sleet and snow and being stung in the face by hailstones it was glorious . I'll have to come back this way later in the year and do some more.

Just relaxing now before heading for a banquet dinner and sampling the impressive array of wiskey that they have here .

Today I made the mistake of taking a right campag brake / gear lever apart to clean and fix - it was a 5 hr marathon
Even when we were dating mrs b didn’t have that much attention
