Not sure if I'll make it to the meetup tonight. I've been doing the ftp builder plan and it has left me shattered this week and I could barely manage to complete a foundation workout last night. So I've got in a nice early excuse for any poor showing if I do ride this evening

I'll see how the legs feel on my ride home.

Hi @Milzy it's 7pm and the Greater London 8 route. If you want to join in, as Andy says you'll just need to request to follow me on the Zwift Companion app - my name on Zwift is Paul Bridgman (cyclechat). Let me know if your name on Zwift is different to milzy so I know it's you! Only once you're following me can I invite you to the meet up.

If you've not done one before, once you've accepted the invite to the meetup, you just need to be riding in zwift beforehand and you'll get a notification of the meetup starting and be transferred to a waiting area by the side of the road with everyone else about 5 minutes before it's due to start

New trainer here :wahhey: Let's see what all the fuss is about with these NEO trainers :becool: Will have a bit of a trial run before the race tonight, just in case it responds differently to the Kickr.
One hint of advice, after playing with the real road feel, You go into the Zwift Menu, Settings, and at the bottom, Turn OFF Tacx Roadfeel ... It's a revelation ... I actually think I gained a couple of Watts after turning it off.

I thought you turned it off from the Utility App ... No must do it in Zwift!

I'm in week 4 of the 6 wk ftp builder plan. There are some painful sessions in the second half of the 6 wk's that I'm not looking forward to. Wk 4, workout 4 (available tomorrow) looks nasty to me, especially if they put a cadence requirement on it xx(.

I did Wk 4, workout 4 on Monday. I know exactly what you mean as I wasn't looking forward to that one, particularly the long block in the middle (16 mins?) where it's mainly at threshold with a bit of tempo. I was able to get over that block though (just) and that gave me confidence that I could make it to the end of the workout at 100%, which I just about managed.

After that I could see why Chris Hoy used to train with a mattress next to his turbo, so he could just fall off his bike at the end of a session!

I’m not sure if fear of failure is a valid excuse or not!

A plague of excuses more like!

A genuine cold and still making the start line gets respect. Time will tell
