Shall we pretend pc’s are infallible...

No, but easier to access than others. Its not the Pc but Zwift design tilts the favour to PC

Del I opened and closed the app a few times after it crashed. Is there a way of knowing which file it is? Also then what do I do with the file?

Edit:

I’ve gone onto strava and tried to upload it but it’s saying the file appears to be ‘malformed and unable to process’. Any ideas?

Mate- it’s only digital so it doesn’t really matter #only real world rides count;)

I have to say it's been felt like that after many winter indoor seasons. Nothing good progress ever happened any of those winter indoor seasons, i hope this new indoor trainer change that to better direction, but i am suspicious before i can see results irl.

Thanks juhal I’ve had a little try at retrieving it with no luck but that’s given me something else to try.

I'm assuming from your reply that you found the .fit file for today? Just to confirm, the file name include the date and time and will look something like 2019-03-04-18-30-45.fit.

If that's what you tried to upload to Strava, and Strava said the file was malformed or corrupted, then the only choice you have is to follow @CXRAndy 's advice and try to repair it using on the the .fit file repair tools you can see if you follow the link he provided.

You'll obviously need a tool that you can run on a Mac or via a Mac browser. I see that the 4th link down is an article on DCRainmaker's website. Might be worth taking a look at that.

Thanks Andy. I do have one of those programmes but couldn’t work it out last time I tried... my computer skills are normally limited to asking my eldest daughter for help

Should I email it to you?

Have you opened a ticket with zwift support? they are usually pretty good (although you usually get a first generic response assuming you are thick asking if you have turned your laptop on or accidentally dipped it in marmalade)
