Feeling a tad fresh on this Mornings dog walk. Proper cold. My face was actually starting to hurt. As cold as Iāve felt out in āyearsāā¦ā¦

Sunny but very icy here. Took the bus into town then walked back along the Water of Leith. Pleasantly quiet apart from the tourist mayhem through Dean Village. Not much wildlife on show, just the usual herons and dippers and one grey wagtail.
It was driving me crazy as I knew I knew the place, but couldnāt bring it to mind. Often eaten a āGreggāsā sausage roll on the bench in the right corner of the photograph.

Another very fresh walk ! Late start for us. Nothing planned today other than a decent š“ ride to kick off the cycling year thoughā¦ā¦
Macy checked out a few new posh pads on route:
Came across a couple of new lanes / pathways:
We could start to see how White it was as it got lighter:
Ran through a very crispy / crunchy field:
āWeā then got a little infatuated by a Squirrel or 3:
And upon coming back into our Estate I think itās clear it isnāt safe to ride later in the day / amongst traffic - in this (Itās enough to make a man miserable š§).
Still enjoyed our little walk though š

On the plus side of todayās walk:
1. We got some fresh air.
2. We pretty much stayed dry - amazingly !
3. Itās helped burn off last nights attack of the Cookie jar š¤£
But the āenjoymentā factor was lowā¦ā¦.š
Effectively a few smaller, linked loops of the Estate. So as to never stray far from home; incase we needed to make a dash for home (Weather forecast was for solid, persistent and heavy rain).

I say: It didnāt feel very awesome being out in uncomfortable conditions ššš Ironically though if it gets as bad as forecast - Iāll end up being REALLY glad of this today.

Cycling up the big hill to Helsington was always a tough start to a ride!

Snow fast disappearing because of drizzle onset.
Slushy lanes today.
This little churchyard is where our ashes are going. We are not religious at all but it is a nice little spot with a bench where we stop to eat 'walk snacks'.

Shortish local walk today with slush underfoot & mizzle descending from the sky.
Chance of a photo of a school about to be demolished (!) due to dodgy concrete concerns.
Bonnie wasn't too worried about the weather, though... Still smells to investigate.
