Nice report -- thanks for sharing. I'm truly envious -- those roads look like such a blast! Gotta put Mallorca near the top of my wish list...

It is a great destination for cycling .... every day it seemed as if a cycling festival was being held, due to the amount of cyclists out on the roads & in the cafes

Hubster & I went out for another mahoosive 5.11 miles 24mins and 20 seconds so shaved 21 seconds off yesterday's time. We'd have been faster but Ken cocked his gears up and brought himself to a standstill and I, being a nice person, waited for him to sort himself out.
We took the same route as yesterday and enjoyed ourselves.
Not sure about riding tomorrow but we are planning a nice 20 mile loop on Sunday, weather permitting. Thought we would follow one of our 'bike it' routes and stop for coffee (free) and cake (not free) at Waitrose at the edge of Norwich.
Feeling quite cheerful now.

After a long winter on the turbo trainer it is good to be pedalling in the fresh air.

Only half? I had a whole loaf (with real butter) after my hilly 42 miles yesterday :mrpig:
The other half did not survive very long:tongue:

Might go out again today, it's supposed to be a balmy eight degrees this afternoon!

Standby for pictures.

I'm also debating how to tackle this issue of having to raise the saddle's height, thereby making it more difficult to get on!

Any ideas???

I have standard pedals (clipless/strapless), and I'm having trouble finding them once I get on! I guess I'm just overly-concious of falling off rather than concentrating on finding my footing.

Just fall off, the trick is to get someone to video it and then send the resulting 'hilarious, never seen that before' video clip into a TV program which will show it among an hours worth of similar hapless escapades, pay you money, and then you can buy the rest of that saddle you bought.^_^

Don't overthink it. One foot should be clipped in before you start so just put the other foot down on the pedal any old how until you've got the bike's rhythm going and then clip it in. It'll come with practice.
