Ron Sant Memorial audax ride. 70miles. Nice detour along the River Dee into Chester. Superbike racing was on at Oulton Park and I managed to watch for 15 mins through some gates. Exciting stuff and saw a rider crash on the bend.

Back OT, 26 miles via Guildford, Shalford, Puttenham, Wanborough and Pirbright. There were some real boneshaker roads on that route.

That reminds me, took a shortcut today for the first time that was probably the worst road I've ever been down for potholes/general crapness, it's a dead-end for cars but has a nifty little cut through for bikes and cuts out a junction or 2, won't be going that way again :headshake:

18 miles to burn off the bacon barm I had for lunch :mrpig:

36 miles today, most of it into a brutal wind, still got a few strava pb's and even made it onto the front page of one section!
off tomorrow for the Bank Holiday so hoping to get another decent ride in. no blue sky up here in the central belt of Scotland today, well the bits I was passing through. This wind though seems to have been with us for ever,
The puncture fairy gave me a visit today and I impressed so much that she came back again.

Surrey roads are well known for their potholes.

Now the big decision is should I venture out on the Trice again tomorrow (and will my legs still be moving in the morning!) or should I spend the day re-roofing the garden shed?
I suspect that my lovely wife's influence will mean it's the latter!

Claim that your injured shoulder would benefit from a rest on the trike.

circa 25 miles in lovely sunshine, Peterborough out toward Elton, peel off toward the radio towers at Morborne, on to the hamlet of Caldecote, on to Stilton, Yaxley, Farcet and back.
Very quiet roads, riding through Yaxley.... wassat ????...heavy aero engines...Dakota flying low between Yaxley and Peterborough.

Why do I always grin and say YESSSS :hyper: outloud when I see things like this.

Unfortunately Vernon my wife has a brother who was born with no arms due to Thalidomide - so excuses won't wash and she knows that I can manage the shed roof almost single handed. Last year I fitted and wired a new electric shower unit virtually single handed.

A relatively quick 26 miles from York to Pocklington to pay a surprise visit to a friend. I was the one who ended up being surprised. Some mutual friends had come down from Darlington bearing Taylor's pork pies. Om nom nom nom :mrpig:

It was a reassuring ride. I'd not ridden since the FNRttC York Hull ride because of a cold/respiratory infection and I managed to average 13.5 mph on the Woodrup with no respiratory distress.
