Meant to do the shorter EB ride as I wanted to save my legs for a Sportive tomorrow but I got a bit carried away as it was so much fun. We got caught in a heavy hail shower but that didn't dampen spirits

Had a good ride today. Only 40 miles to Llandudno and back but the weather was nice. Saw loads of cyclists out. One passed me and called me brave, I presumed he meant that about me wearing shorts.
LOADS of patient drivers out. Only had one close pass.
Stopped in Rhos for a chocolate brownie and a chat with a guy who has a mobile stall (an old Citreon van which had been converted). Whilst watching the rough sea batter the coast and cause huge waves to come over the sea defence getting a mans Audi wet.

Quite a nice day overall apart from it being a little chilly.

Just a 4 mile round trip with the kids to Polocini Cafe for lunch. Bumped into our own Edwards after he had done a good 60 miler with Winnats thrown in.

Was good to see you again sir

That sandwich and cake was massively welcome! Good ride today, winnats was made more interesting with a blockading sheep and another riders chain snapping as I rode up behind him. Stopped to help a chap with a snapped chain on snake pass too. Was starting to get worried I was a bad omen.

lol Potsy. No car/bike interactions today

I did a shade over 50 miles this morning vaguely following a route from Cycle Routes UK. I did get lost at one point so I had to fire up my trusty sat-nav and be told where to go. I think without it I would still be going round Good Easter. I pulled on my shorts this morning, but then chickened out and put tights on instead. I am glad I did, some of the ride was very cold.

managed to dodge all the showers on the way home from mums. the new computer is now up & running. all I have left to do is teach them how to use it, Windows XP to Windows 8 and a 64 year old who hates computers, and a 71 year old who likes to 'tinker' - well that is now Tuesday's job (hopefully). Journey home was interesting and hard from the word go. It was a touch too cool for 3/4 length leggings when the sun was not out and that headwind is hard & cold and it was a headwind all the way home for 21 miles. Had a slight diversion to look at a new road, (my autopilot on the bike periodically gets bored with the same potholes and likes to go off and find different ones  ), and also found my first (planted) tulips in flower in a sheltered spot in someone's garden. http://app.strava.com/activities/50980005

The first really nice day we've had in a while here.

I had planned to meet up with @tug benson and @Col5632 in Kilsyth but they were slower than expected, so we met at the top of the tak-ma-doon instead, after I had taken a break to admire the view test the panorama function on my phone (I am not impressed).

On the way down to Stirling, one of my cheapo plastic bottle cages snapped in half (!), but the situation was soon remedied at a local bike shop. We continued to Edinburgh, dropping off Col in Dunfermline on the way, and successfully checked out the route to the Meadows for the Pedal on Parliament feeder next Month.

86 miles today up and around the Karpaz peninsula and back. One hell of a head wind all the way out, a few climbs to get back to the other side of the peninsula, followed by what would have been an amazing downhill except that the road surface then became loose shingle on top of tarmac and potholes...had the apply both brakes hard and stand all the way down....then the hill of doom...wasn't to bad a hill actually but on that surface it was a right pita. Had a good chin wag with a Turkish family...mum was an English teacher in bosnia, dad was a bum who lived for his football...but apparently galataserei is a dirty word around here...kids all over the bike...amazed...mum told me her husband was younger than me by 5 years but never did anything. Lot's of long black snake roadkills they look nasty...not sure if poisonous though...and I saw a bright green gecko like creature trying to cross the road ...it was about 10 inches long and walked really slowly and carefully...then this multi coloured bird flew low and in front of me for a about 10 seconds...no idea what it was but it was beautiful.

I got blown back the last few miles by the wind then jumped in the pool with all my cycle kit on except shoes and phone/wallet etc.
