Been sticking to my routine, strict ten milers for the first two weeks then upp it to about 20 but the way I feel I can easilly do 20 with energy to spare, but like I said when I joned CC, I will take the first few weeks easy, but must admit I am loving being back on a bike, especially the Carrera its a dream to ride.

Just my usual fully loaded ride to my local National Trust site at Styal near Manchester Airport for my weekly stint of volunteering. It's 26 ish miles each way with a full day of hard labour, did some sweet chestnut fencing with a group from United Utilities who i hope a gret time, then i had a nice walk in the woods to check on possible sites for Otter holts.Great day, very tired now and i have to finish the bloody tiling off now !

We only have three seasons in Thailand - hot, hotter and wet, now we are in the wet season ot should I say wet & windy season this year? Most of the time, I am not affected by the rain - very heavy showers about mid-afternoon but it has rained early morning for the past few days. Friday morning got as far as the PTT service station before the heavens opened,Saturday, it was raining from about 5am so I did not go out. Today was overcast and the wind had died down and looking ford to a plasant ride but at the same service station, the rain started so I came home again early - better luck tomorrow?
One thing I have found out is that if I decide to do a long ride, I can always shorten it if I feel like but if I decide to do a short ride there is no way that I can change it into a longer one

I went out his morning for the 6th ride since my accident and managed 50 Km at a fair pace. The biggest problem is not the legs, as I've kept them in trim in the gym on a turbo, but after a while it was the triceps that were being very painful. I've not been able to start the upper body daily exercises yet so I hope after few more rides these will be less troublesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Meant to be out at 6am but thanks to oversleeping and then two exploding pumps finally made it out at 10.30am. Nice 26 miles around the villages outside Peterborough. Drafted back into town with some folk from Peterborough cycle club.

Came up against some temporary roadworks on Oundle road and stopped by a large red temporary sign that read 'CYCLISTS DISMOUNT'. I saw that a traffic cop had pulled up beside me so I asked if the sign was an order or a suggestion, they smiled, laughed and said they had no idea, but told me that I didn't appear to be causing any harm so I should do what I wish.

I also got tootled by motorists who gestured to the side of the road, I was already too close to the kerb as it was so I gave them a cheery wave.

Was looking forward to todays ride, weatherman last night said it was going to be ok,great. Get up this morning to find its wet and rain in the air. Bit of a downer but lets get on with it. It was one of them rides where I should of went back to bed. The longest 25 miles I have done it seemed much longer. Never mind still got the commute tomorrow

Went out at 7 this morning, met a few guys at our local cycle shop, all had a coffee then set of about 7-30, my other half decided she was going to come along, would be the first time she has rode with a proper group, it just ment i had to lead the slower group around the 33 mile course which was not a problem, nice ride although a bit hilly in parts, we were back home just after 10 so we have the rest of the day to ourselves, i have just looked over to the setee and she is fast asleep, ah bless, she does not do early sunday mornings, ^_^
