Did 35.5 miles on Monday. Went into Leicester for an interview with another supply teaching agency. So not a real interview. Today went out for a little pootle about some of the roads and lanes I've not been on for a while. Ended up doing 46.6 miles. Nice weather made it easier. I didn't want to go back in.

Got over the depression of being back at work for a week  , after 2 weeks of brilliant cycling holiday in the Lake District ^_^ , with an 18 mile ride around the lanes East of Shrewsbury. Lovely quiet lanes with a fair amount of flat and downhill bits, averaged 11.5 mph which I was happy with, as I am usually a 9.5 or 10 mph rider. The 85 miles of hilly rides in the Lakes must have improved the strength in my legs!

Went for a quick spin on one of my regular routes around the Acton Burnell and Cound area. I got a bit carried away on the outward leg as the tailwind was giving me a nice high average speed and have strained my left knee trying to keep up the pace against the wind on the way back.

It was still a good ride though.

31 miles of sun, sea air and a sneaky ice cream. But that's ok because I cut the ride short to avoid some hills, only for my alternative route to be almost as hilly: I got up to 38mph on one descent! :hyper:

Stunning scenery.....no ice cream pics though !

Did 4 laps of Llandegla's red/black route on the Fat Bike today plus the section called JJ's jumps once (to make sure I bagged 50 miles) today 6623ft of climbing in 5 hours 22mins moving (6hours 5mins with faffing and feeding).

Now what can I eat to replace the 3739 calories i used up according to Strava?

I did some more exploring of the villages to the west of Peterborough, the roads there are a nice change; a nice 33miles in the warm sunshine.

I'm itching for another visit to the in-laws in Peterborough, I took my bike for the first time in nearly twenty years a few weeks ago and have totally changed my opinion of the the city!
