34 miles, up at 6 out by 6.30. Mrs CP and Miss CP now out of bed, and got rest of day to spend with them. Might go out for a night ride later.

Had a gentle 30 miler yesterday that started really badly . Within 1/4 mile of my house I was offered a scrap after shaking my fist (not in the coffee bean fashion) at a driver who cut me up badly. He slowed down, waited for me to overtake and then speeded up to close me off against oncoming traffic then offered me out after I politely criticised his driving.

He was driving a car full of elderly women on the way to a wedding.

As is said many times on here, I shouldn't have reacted but his driving in the first instance was really poor.

No, I didn't get his reg

Just done 34 miles, taking in some of the quiet coast roads & some of the not so quiet main roads :bravo: Managed to do it in 1hr 50 + snack stop which i was impressed with considering the breezy conditions & it's the first ride in ages when i haven't had to clean my bike afterwards

Went for a nice 52 miler road ride today up to Exmoor with tired legs from friday. Gorgeous sunny weather and suprisingly little wind up on the moors today. Timed it to perfection to get back in time for the grand prix

Against the recent trend, I did a little tour (60km) of Windsor Great Park...and stumbled upon this:

"Jolly hockeypolo sticksballs mints old boy!

Aspreys v Twelve Oaks... might write a report of this match actually.

Splendid weather for the cyclechat photo challenge too!

My ride today was Pedal for Scotland it was great meeting Scoosh, Magnatom and his mate, Davo, Goo Mason and Hairy Jock and Tete and his wife.the computer says 65 miles, but part of that was Granton to Victoria park twice  at the start and Leith to Granton at the end .
I was a bit late at the start (because of having to go back to Granton B) and our Bus Driver getting lost ) but I was able catch everybody up and really enjoyed the ride.

Barnet,
Mine was 15 miles to work this morning at 06,00. Then back again this afternoon. A good ride though and the excellent weather helped.

About 60 miles today Glasgow to Edinburgh (including getting to and from home). I did see a few CC jerseys on the ride, mostly heading off into the distance. The best bit was probably Dayvo getting the beers in at the end...

Despite precious little time on the bike lately, 28 miles today...and thankfully no fatigue or tiredness. Felt good...although maybe a bit slower than usual.

Incident packed...well, a couple of unusual occurences.
Rode into Peterborough, then aiming to ride alongside the river on a good quality cycle route...only to find it blocked by the Police  Some poor bugger found dead by, or in the river. Detoured a little way to get back on track. Spoke to a PC about cycling, nice chat...
'You time trialling' he asked...
'No, just for pleasure'
'Bloody hell, thats a nice bike for pleasure' he replied (its 'only' a C2C Nirone Xenon, but he seemed impressed..)

Then, because of the detour, i had to use a gravelly road to get back on track...somewhere along it i felt a dink...and saw something bounce up..then off into the grass  Bloody stones, if that's damaged the paintwork, i'll be peeved
A mile or so further on, went to use the brakes :wacko: ooer, the fronts bloody useless....:ohmy: No brake pad on one side...thats what flew up
Looked for it on the way back...no chance.

On the plus side (and its not much of a plus)...found a roll of insulting tape at the side of the road.

Very nice ride otherwise...

The scenery looked real nice from this bridge over the Nene...photo doesnt really bring it out..i'm stood about 30ft above the river, and it's about 50ft wide...again, the photo doesnt let you see the scale.

Next best bit was when Magnatom got the next round in
