Got out for the first time in five weeks and polished off a 105 km DIY Audax in five and a half hours. It was good to out and about again.

My first ride with the CTC today. 64 miles and we managed to avoid the torrential rain that's been around today:becool:. I think I was a bit of a novelty being female and below retirement age but they were all very friendly.

32 painful miles, hip joint's started hurting en route so i took it real steady hoping it would free up.
Mild here again, sunny in the afternoon and relatively quiet on the roads. This time of the year has its advantages....32 miles and didnt feel too hot..or cold. Just right,

Hard.. having been out of action for 2 weeks due to injuries from a car crash, i find my muscles have lost it a bit. and the fact that the new computer i bought to go with my bike also doesn't log average speed or the time i'm cycling is a bit of a pain!

Stole about 1hr 40 minutes worth of riding between horrible rain and darkness. 'Twas very nice.

Not sure where you are haplessly trapped but it experiences different weather to us also in East Midlands.
Out for under 2 hours early on our fixed, easy quiet ride as the metal boxes were still in bed. Really enjoyable and saw lots of other cyclists out in one's and two's, best of all no wind and sun shining albeit cold.

It was peeing down in Lutterworth until after lunch.

Poor you, we were lucky, we are in Charnwood which often attracts rain but yesterday was brill. Our clubruns often go down into your area and beyond so keep a lookout for two fixed gear riders, one is unmissable on a very pink bike.

OK then - what club are you in?
We're often out to the east of the M1 the 'leicester alps'. Either on my own (black carbon kestrel roadie or yellow airnimal chameleon) or with my other half (blue merlin carbon thing or brown tricross)
