Only 500 yards or so today. But managed it completely pain free. It felt great to be back in the saddle after some recurring thigh muscle pain which grounds me completely from time to time turning me into a grumpy lump of sadness. On the up now hopefully - will try for a mile or so tomorra. :hungry:

Down to Hammersmith Bridge, and headed down the Thames Path to Westminster. Pootled down the Mall and then back the way I came. Twenty two miles in glorious early winter sunshine. No hills at all. Fabulous fun.

A hard slog up the Crow road to the top of the Campsie's, barely made it made me realise how unfit the ciggies are making me, could'nt breathe by the time i got to the top, lovely day though, 27 miles there and back, maybe going up to Linlithgow tomorrow, a bit more gentle for me.

Hi BhoyJim,
glad you got out today, too! A bit less far for you to travel to the start  than the Milnathort CC ride. We really need to head a bit further west soon on the CC Central Scotland rides. Any suggestions?

Sorry to hear about your breathing trouble. Can you not ration the ciggies a wee bit? Maybe wait an extra couple of minutes before lighting the next one? (Sorry, I can only imagine what it's like, luckily I never started) I am amazed how fast you are on the bike despite them!

Barnet,
I wimped out as my cycling buddy decided he didn't want to go out in the rain. So I will go out for a two mile jaunt to the pub instead instead of the usual 30 mile sunday outing.
