What started as a shopping ride across town on the hybrid turned into a 2 hour shop plus trail ride alongside Nene Valley Railway/ River Nene.
No computer, so probably 15 to 20 miles taking in some nice woodland and trails on the edges of Ferry Meadows. I was hoping to get a photo of the steam train, but sods law, it wasn't there when I was.
Can you see the Squirrel ?

District championship 25TT - 55:20 (27.1 mph average)

I knew there was a trophy and medals for the winning team as it was a district championship event, with the winning team being decided using the Bidlake system, in which the winning team is the team with the fastest 3rd rider, rather than quickest total time when adding up the 3 fastest members times as per normal. There were also trophies and medals for the winners, but I knew I couldn't win the overall, so focussed on winning the team prize for my club as it would likely be my time that would decide the outcome based on recent results and having our two top testers racing to contest the overall.

Once held and given the count, I set off staying seated and easing up to speed and getting into my aero position as soon as possible. Mostly the ride was uneventful, I just sat on ~350W for 20 miles then opened up to 370W over the last 5 miles as a last charge for the line. Crossed the line in 55:20 which I am pretty sure was a top 10 position and secured the team prize for us!

My clubmates came 1st and second with absolutely amazing rides, so a rather successful day all round and successful weekend for me in racing terms, with a 10 mile TT PB and 10 mile power PB, 25 mile course PB on J2/9, 25 mile power PB + a team win (medal to be presented at a dinner some point at the end of the season)

Going by our car, it was -15C this morning:eek: :cold:  (it did say -18C at one point and took until 1:30pm to decide that it was even above 0C.... ) Suspect we may be speaking with the garage next week... hopefully nothing serious and can be ignored!

Not posted for a while as most of my rides have either been on the turbo, or non stop group rides with not much happening. Today was a sportive, a chilly start but the many hills warmed me up (3100ft of hills over 55 miles). The only photo was at the start point, Eton Dorney lake.

My legs ached at the end of the 55 miles. Still I averaged 16mph and got a chocolate egg at the finish. The egg was shared with Mrs Kipster when I got home.

Just back from my ride from home to the hospital to meet Hubster. There was no Hub & Car in the layby where we meet so I cycled several laps up and down the car park until he came out. It was a tad chilly and I didn't want to stand around and get cold. It was nice to do the trip in daylight, he's on an 'early' today.
9.84 miles, 47:45 so not quick but not desperately slow, 12 and a bit mph average with bib shorts that are past their best and kept moving about so I had to keep stopping to sort them out. TMI? Sorry

But did you rotate the picture before posting it? (You can't expect the forum software to guess that you would like a picture rotating.)

The problem before was that pictures still came out that way even though they had been rotated before posting them.

(If you did rotate it before posting, then yes - the problem is still present!)
I resized it to fit forum specification and rotated it to the correct (portrait) orientation. Seems like the problem persists for some reason.
