Some wonderful bee orchids on our ride tonight

Riding through new forest late last night not 1 but 2 nightjar, both were crouched on the road before I startled them. Made my night.

Here's a real rarity!
Can you name the yellow flower and tell me where it is?

I also saw a Heron catch and eat a Grass Snake!

Hover bee's or whatever the proper name is getting some nectar .

And then some cucumber just hanging around .

You've got the location correct, but not the plant.
I'll give you a clue: It stands about 6" high and it's extremely rare - not found in any other location in Britain, apart from about half a dozen patches on Braunton Burrows.

Hedgehog in the garden last night, having a good drink and a feed.
I cant remember the last time i saw one, sad demise of this lovely little animal
