We put out a wildlife camera to see if the hedgehog had found his new hole into the back garden and checked the files today. Lots of mouse activity and then last night the hedgehog is seen on the other side of the fence and the plant pot that I put the meal worms in had been moved! Poor photo as the batteries were failing but you can just make him out.

We've put new batteries in and I'm just out to top up the meal worms now!

A young robin decided to investigate the barn while we were gardening today. It then decided to exit, not by the door it came in, but by the 'used to be a window' which is now covered in chicken wire to stop the cats getting in. Despite it's best efforts it couldn't break the wire and had no sense to try the door again about 2m away. So, I rescued it and took it outside where it flew away happily chirping ^_^

I've been putting out meal worms each night and they have been disappearing by morning. The wildlife camera seems to be over exposing the image and only recording video for 1 second, but it's definitely the hedgehog each night with the occasional mousy visitor.

And the time is wrong too!

Belted Kingfisher again, in the rain and wind. Fishing must be very good in the pond.

I could send you a hedgeball if I could yet find one in good condition, @biggs682 . They supposedly keep spiders away. (They are claimed to do about everything but bring about world peace, btw)

I think all that is needed is a lesson in dusting for mother.

We found these rare breed sheep whilst out walking yesterday.

Crows were chasing a red-tailed hawk as I was walking the dogs this morning, and there were a pair of owls in my cherry tree the night before last. They then went off toward the Six-Mile Creek, and hooted in the willows over there, much to the consternation of my beagles. I also saw a fisher or weasel near the creek. I think our influx of rabbits may be attracting predators.
