Forth and Clyde canal, Maryhill today

There’s a family of foxes living in the woods behind the house, about 200 metres away, so thought I’d put my camera up there to see what they get up to. Not exactly Springwatch quality but a still from a short video taken 7:45 this morning, I’m guessing mum walking back to the den with breakfast rat dangling from her mouth. One video clip showed 4 foxes walking past, another clip a deer. Still not managed to find a badger but I know they are up there.

The live cam has just switched from the (handsome-but-dull) Mrs Nightjar on her eggs to OSPREYS!!! (yup, nr Poole Harbour - first nest observed in err ... 200 years I think they said?!?)

A very beautiful thing to look at when colleagues send me annoying emails 😇

a hummingbird came by the other day & the security camera let me know. watching the short video clip it was interesting to note that it's eyeball remained stationary but it's body seemed to move slightly around the eyeball. & the wings of course were a blur

wonderful, can you change the composition so that you don't have that sky in the background? interesting that it is looking right at the camera. does it make a sound when it is activated? which camera do you have? it seems to work very well!

On the terrace step two nights ago, amongst the gravel. a very bright green light, like a LED, so bright. Glow-worm!!

And last night, in the grass/ferns in front of the house, two more. Thrilled by this. Very rare spot for me.

No photos, bit pointless. Total blackout with a green dot, or with flash, a picture of some grass.

We think it’s a Moth, Hitched a ride on my wife’s T shirt this morning. Released in the garden, recovered, then landed on my son’s washing and came indoors with it. Released now into the garden.

looks like we had a coyote trot by, last night, about 12:30am
