This picture of a Peregrine Falcon was taken a couple of years ago, but it is only recently that I have noticed twigs poking out of the box structure to the far left. I'm wondering if they might have built a nest in it.
I haven't seen any Peregrines this year.

Male cuckoos are amazing. They winter in places like Senegal and then migrate all the way to the UK. Set up a territory, hopefully attract a mate. Do the necessary and then that's that. Back to Senegal.
Males typically spend only about 6 weeks on territory in UK
Can’t blame them really.....
 
They seem to regard themselves as British, staying in Senegal as their winter getaway. Can't wait to leave Senegal. But once back home in Britain, can't wait to get back to Senegal. It's a paradox

They probably refer to themselves as "Expats" and sit around in Senegal with the other cuckoos complaining loudly about the flamingos.

saw a badger running across the road at about 12.30 am ( yes i was cycling coming home from work ) , car on the other side nearly ran it over the stupid driver must have been either blind, drunk , didnt give a feck or a combination of all three .
