*Looked like a new(er) addition: ‘inside’ the older, dilapidated ruins - and up against the Tower - has been built. So I’m imagining it’s very much still working Church…….

Whimple - I assume that the stumpy tower is Norman in origin. Or maybe they ran out of money or stone.

At the weekend I came across St Peter & St Paul's in Kings Sutton, near Banbury, with it's magnificient spire, apparently built ~1370 & grade 1 listed.

Clyst St George - apart from the tower, it was all destroyed by a stray incendiary bomb in WW2,the rebuild being completed in the 1950s.
