Not by a long way- only those I can easily get to by train & bike

Quite an interesting one today. St Mary’s at Staveley in Cartmel. Built around 1537 after the dissolution of Cartmel priory during the reformation. Apparently lots of the stone came from the Priory.

Taughboyne Parish Church, sadly talk of closing it and removing the roof.

St Hubert’s Church, Dunsop Bridge. An interesting one for a couple of reasons. Firstly, it was built by EW Pugin son of Houses of Parliament Pugin in 1865. Secondly, it was funded by a Colonel Towneley from winnings he acquired when his horse won the Derby in 1861!

PS Just discovered that St Hubert is patron saint of hunters.
