I am thrilled that England haven't been awarded the World Cup.

The hypocrosy amongst the media is amazing.

They love England when they win and hate them when they lose - "get rid of that foreign manager - he's useless " - "the players are rubbish" blah, blah.

If we'd been awarded the competition in 2018 then nobody would have said a thing about FIFA, but cos' they haven't everybody takes the high moral ground saying what a bent bunch they all are.

I remember seeing a chat show interview with IIRC Jack Hawkins who was talking about filming Lawrence of Arabia on location. In order to get a drink at that time they had to be registered alcoholics, so there's Peter O'Toole, Jack Hawkins and Anthony Quayle sat on a park bench after a heavy session and one of them is looking at the alcoholics licence they were issued and says "it states here on the licence that if you get caught sober three times you get the f*cking thing endorsed"
