Sports commentators are the worst culprits for interchanging "literally" and "metaphorically".

He might be having the game of his life but if he is "literally on fire" then its time to bring the substitute on.

"Water Cannon" apparently has no plural for some reason... and that bugs me.

"The Police used Water-Cannon to suppress the crowd" surely it's Water Cannons or a Water Cannon

That may be grammatically correct, but I still dislike it! The American's may be (half) right on this one IMO.
