Yesterday I chose "brava" rather than the more obvious "bravo". Penny dropped, and for my last go, tried "bravo", only missed the 'o' and submitted "bravo" instead without realising it. Was accepted as a word. Anyone ever used "bravi"? Just going to look up what it means.

Its the 6th bra worn by Roman lady.

It seems that bravo is the masculine form so "brava" is technically correct when applauding a woman. I don't know Italian so just going on what the internet tells me. Bravi is the plural so used to praise multiple people as in "Bravi Azzurri!"

2 ways to draw attention to yourself in a bad way during a concert:

1. Applauding between movements
2. Yelling "Bravo" after a particularly fine performance by a soprano.

in a choice between two fruits today I was very pleased to choose melon so as not to end up feeling a lemon!

I had both vowels but not in right place and was looking for 3 common consonants to confirm / eliminate.

Well I got 1087 in four, even though I've never heard of the word. ^_^

I struck lucky with the first guesses and the final letter was the only one that I could see would fit.

Bloody stupid word if you ask me.

EDIT: I've just looked it up,and realised that I did know the word after all. It must have been lurking in my subconscious.

Similar. Got the first three letters, and had ruled out all vowels as the fourth letter.

I put FANNY in as one of my guesses, giggling to myself. As soon as I pressed it the word MANGY came to mind, which would have been much better.

You can't have that word!

Oh, that one has three 'e's in it. OK.
