Wow, £400 loss, I’ve never lost that amount. That must hurt

Yes, it does a bit. What helps is that it has gone to a good home, a proper nice guy who will ride it, and I had a lot of fun doing it. I'm realistic, too:

1. Building from parts is always way more expensive than buying the thing you wanted in the first place
2. You're going to lose in a trade anyway, unless you are lucky
3. I don't smoke or spend money on a lot of other things like pub/cinema/concerts
4. A non-standard or individualised vehicle of any kind will always be worth less than the standard, unmodified article.

I didn't do it to make money, but to have some fun, and fun was what I had. Chapter over, moving on ...
