And yet it has normal shifters of the correct type for 97, everything previous had odious grip-shifters. Whatever, they'll be swapped out for my preferred combined units.Non RC STX so 95-96?
Blimey, 30 years old already.

If not, a possible link to a vice is forming in my mind!
As I'm not getting on with the Scott, I'll transplant as much as I can from that. The STX crank is 175mm. I'd ideally prefer a 170 or 165 but doubt I'd get one with the correct BCD. Will look, however, along with some new chainrings. If you need 7 speed cassettes talk to David Hinde Bikes as I purchased a couple last week.
What crank are you thinking about or are you going for rings ?

Best YouTube video I’ve watched for ages, he’s a genius.
Might be something you could use at your volunteering workshop. Needn't be as precision made as this one, he's taken a machinist's approach to it rather than just a fabricators. There's another vid out there where a hydraulic jack is used instead of the screw method![]()
