Will this SIM card fit this phone?

If it ain't on, it's off. Assuming the battery is fitted and no external power supply is in use.

According to the leaflet.it'll take 20 minutes. I think that's a bit ambitious wouldn't you say? I bet it's still charging at midnight.

Alcatel stuff is generally designed to charge quickly and have huge battery life.

20 minutes BEFORE it even starts charging? I think it's going to be a long night!

Most are these days. Only got one that'll accept round batteries now.

Well at least the thing is up and running,and the memory card went in. All i can do is wait now to see if all my old stuff was stored and will come up on this new phone.

Seriously? It says....The Pay as you go SIM that fits all mobiles,on the little envelope. Isn't it supposed to go in the phone?

It is if you've not already put your existing SIM in there.
