Over half of which aren't operational/working.I'm predicting that the second hand market will start to boom in 2026/2027. That will be when the current lot of relatively early adoption fleet leases run out.
At the moment you are looking at £30k for a car (MG MG4) with "long range" suitable for that sort of journey.
If you did stop twice with a shorter range car, your stop would only be 30 to 40 minutes. The way that fast charging works is that once you get nearer to full (around 80%) the charger rapidly decreases the amount of power flowing to the car. So from say 15% to 80% might only take 30 minutes, whereas from 80% to 100% might take a further 30 to 45 minutes.
There are great places to stop and charge - my favourite is the BP Pulse Gigahub at the NEC which has 30 ultra-fast 150kw chargers and 150 7kw chargers along with a nice Starbucks. It's also only 5 mins walk from a huge shopping centre with restaurants.
Instavolt have a gigahub at Stroud Park on the M40 with 32 super fast chargers and there are many more sites appearing.

If you believe zapmap and Instavolt.
To me it's showing 29 of 32 available with 3 in use. Some of them have "unknown" but that doesn't mean that they aren't working.Zapmap is currently showing 3 of the 150kW chargers as out of service, and 2 as unknown.
True. But there is still lots of available capacity for charging. I've never had to wait for a spot there. And 32 of the 7kW chargers as unknown, 2 out of use. Although the 7kW chargers aren't of much use unless you are visiting the NEC for the day.
I'm not sure what you are looking at. ZapMap shows all of Stroud Park as operational, with 6 people charging.Over half of which aren't operational/working.

Unless your not interested in e bikes and want to take your chum along with you.
Indeed. Tis a city car....at up to 56 mph!
My main issue with it is the price. The new microlino might suit a lot of people.

A Nissan Sakura if it were made available in the UK would run circles round it. Faster, longer range, a little bit bigger yes, but cheaper. A lot cheaper.

It's because it's a Kei kar and only available in Japan. I did a market research and got to sit in one. It looks a bit weird because we aren't used to Kei dimensions, but it's blimmin fantastic inside. Front and back seats are benches that go right the way across and there is an incredible amount of interior space for a tiny car.Not heard of that one. I see your point though. Good to see a range of them coming out around the world.
Until it pisses down....
