Speaking as someone who grew up on farm in a remote area, as a child if we ran out of something, it could wait until the local grocer came around in his Type 2 VW mobile shop on a Thursday and there was no endlessly running to the shop for something non-essential. Why does everyone want everything instantly now?

Because we can.

And in most ways, that is an improvement.

Because they can have it. The yoof of today have more entertainment than they can shake a fist at and so many ways to get immediate satisfaction. Around here the only time you are really out of luck is after 11pm. No 24 hour shops around here.

And yet we're still being told that yoof offending is because there's 'nothing to do' and it could be solved by opening a few youth clubs.

I'm not quite onboard with electric vehicles yet, but as part of my summer outdoor pursuit of racing RC cars I relied heavily on my fairly large leisure/caravan battery for charging race batteries, powering engine heater etc.

So I bought a fairly cheap 120w solar panel kit off the amazon, a few weeks ago my battery that wasn't fully charged at start of day, charged RC batteries and powered tyre warmers for two of us all day and went home fully charged 😁

Less than a handful of times the battery was charged indoors, which is also less times I need to carry it
