Ah, good to know i'm not alone! I'm fine, road rash has dried up and is healing, just got to get the wife to get the muck out of my jersey now (not that i am sexist making my wife to my laundry... she's just miles better then me).

I'm not fussy. Last fall was to my left (slipped on some black ice the other day and carried on sliding down the road for several yards after my bike had stopped). The last time I had a clipless moment though it was to my right and I damaged the rear mech. If you're gonna fall make sure you do it to the left as it causes less damage to the bike!

I've never really thought about it but I think the times I have come, I come off to the left. Head falling towards traffic or away from traffic, I think I choose away.
