Cheers Ian, I thought as much, just wanted to ask here first.
your total capacity is 33, 50/34 = 16 and 11/28 = 17 , added together is 33 = GSSurely thats for a Double ( i.e 53), I'm running compact. GS is for Triple? Thats how I read it.
For Shimano:
SS - Short Cage Road Double - Maximum Cassette Cog is 27 and Total Capacity is 29
GS - Medium Cage MTB/Road Triple - Maximum Cassette Cog is 34(MTB)/27(Road) and Total Capacity is 33(MTB)/37(Road)
your total capacity is 33, 50/34 = 16 and 11/28 = 17 , added together is 33 = GS
Don't listen to me I just talk a load of old nuts and bolts!cheers ed, about as useful as a chocolate kettle![]()
105 is basically last generation Ultegra anyway thanks to the trickle down effect, nowt wrong at all with it, good choicebtw the 105 mech is half the price of Ultegra and looks the same , just bought a new one to replace my Ultegra mech.
SS works perfectly fine for his (and mine) set up.
Think it would do as long as you don't cross the chain , small to small on one of my bikes that's past the capacity the figure 8 goes that far back the chain rubs together.
