Loved it to bits. It could turn on a sixpence. Riddled with rust (you could see the road beneath your feet, and when it rained heavily you'd arrive with soaked shoes). Excellent to drive. Sadly had to scrap it in the end after a wheel fell off.
Absolutely beautiful. Along with the Mk1 those Lotus Cortinas were fantastic looking cars, and whoever came up with the colour scheme should have been knighted at least three time over.Great thread, some wonderful cars.
Not quite youth but my dad's 1970 Lotus Cortina he bought new the day I was born. He kept it till '76.
