Where should i go for my sons electric guitar package?

Not much to add to what's been said, another vote for the Ibanez low end range, great instruments for the money.
Whoever it was talking about the Line 6 Spider, not worth it, Vox AD series is much better, but in general if you can afford to wait just save and get a decent tube amp like a Peavey Valveking (1x12 version £279 on GAK.co.uk)

Also djtheglove, if you need a guitar teacher, I live in Clapham (and am a student so cheap so might be able to help you out






thanks Radius I will keep you in mind, sprog one does'nt actualy live in Clapham but hey anything is possible.

Mine asked me (three times a week for the whole of the Summer) for an electric guitar. As soon as I'd arranged with my work colleague to buy him one for £50 of course he's been asking me each week for an acoustic guitar instead as it's "easier to learn" according to his mate!

I've told him too late to change your mind, sonny! I've arranged and that's what you're getting!

I am hoping because he comes from being able to play the violin pretty well, He doesnt just screech away on it, he will pick this up quite easily, I have seen him pick up our acoustic guitar before and get a tune within a short time. He must have a good ear for music I think!
