each individual element of it isn't, but what magnatom was talking about is organising the most efficient grouping of several routes. I'm not sure how the actual routing engine of say a tomtom or something like mappoint does it, I think it's probably fairly heavily dependent on data structures that the actual map data is stored in.

I was only joking with the colliery comment. Last time I went there (several years ago) it looked like they were landing gas there now. I too know the foreshore from Talacre and the RSPB hides.
