Try to find somewhere in London not crammed with mourning monarchists.

Good luck, by the sounds of things, it's full of them already.

Will dip in and out of the TV coverage but otherwise potter around the house.

As an aside I have split my mourning into two distinct halves:

- the first for HM obviously,

- and the second for those whose lives have been utterly devasted due to interruptions in their football, TV, radio etc schedules.

🙂

I am contemplating holding counselling sessions for the second lot. They certainly need closure of some sort.

I'll be in London, an already planned business trip that couldn't be unplanned as there are people arriving from overseas

I don't know what I'll do on Monday, not going to watch the funeral and associated hoopla. Probably have a few meetings with the others arriving, decent lunch, walk in the park etc etc. Try to find somewhere in London not crammed with mourning monarchists.

Make sure you book meals in advance as plenty of places will be closed :okay:

most pubs if they shut at all will reopen at 1/2pm after the funeral to maximise revenue. Restaurants will majority be open in the evening, there are mourners and gawpers to exploit.:okay:

I’d still book if anywhere in Central London especially if wanting a nice meal or specific restaurant :okay: not everywhere will be open

Advice not to ride was subsequently changed after a twatterstorm.

The advice only lasted a couple of hours before it was taken down, god knows what they were thinking ( the AA didn’t post about not driving cars did they ?😂 ).
Anyway more balanced guidance is now given and BC have posted a grovelling apology. 😀

I had a quick look in Vi, in the WH Smiths, in the Hospital
Even though it was printed/distributed/went on sale, before the death, I didn't see The Broon Windsors in it
It had got to be a regular recently
(I'll let anyone curious search for it)

I presume it will be withdrawn now, or an editorial in the issue released in October?

Went on sale on the 8th, arrived a bit earlier if you subscribe. Hasn't been withdrawn, nae Broon Windsors, but I reckon they'll have a field day in the next issue - 13th/14th October.
