Excellent!

A good few years ago I spotted The White Room on vinyl in a record store window and knowing it'd been out of print since 1990ish and therefore rather collectable, I wondered how much they were asking. Went inside and the guy said £5.99, which i found somewhat unbelievable. I asked to have a closer look, expecting it to be a bit shoddy but finding it to be in near-mint condition, I faux ummed and arred before handing over the cash. All the time I'm thinking :wahhey: ...average selling price on Discogs is around £80!

Edit... oh, and the postie brought me a router extender, but the shaping i wanted it for i did by hand whilst waiting so i don't actually need it anymore:wacko:

The moral of the story is "know your stuff"

People are getting more savvy about collectables and antiques, but while people know something about everything, no one can know everything about something. And so stuff slips through the net.

Not had anything in the post recently except the bill for the drainage board maintenance thingy.

A cheapo bar extender which im fitting on one of the Brommies so granddaughter can hold on when she’s on the child seat. I’d originally cobbled together a bridge arrangement using plumbing pipe and cable ties.

Which child seat are you using?
It's a Milian Pere child seat. It has rubber underneath the part that sits against the front hinge with a small extended part that sits under the hinge body to prevent it coming off. The part that clamps round the seat post can be slackened off to allow the seat post to drop to whatever height suits the rider. If you loosen it and flick it off the seat post you can fold the bike as per normal, it's just a bit wider than without the seat.

That bar extender is cool. :becool:

Where did you get that from, and do they do it in red?

Amazon £7 delivered. There are a multitude of sellers selling the same versions and I beleive there was a red one. The shims that came with it aren't enough to securely grip the Brompton handlebar, but I used some self amalgamating tape on the handlebar. A bit of inner tube would do the job.
