The Gorge Formby gets regular use in our house...

Does it clean your windows whilst strumming away on a ukulele?
Probably not, but I bet it always turns out nice.

Bought a second hand Scalectrix from the charity shop to rediscover my yoof, never took it out the box and it went back to the charity shop a year later.

I don't begrudge them the money but I'd have been better off just making a donation!

I was looking across my room last night and was thinking that my Blu-ray player may never be used again. I have only used it for the box sets of The Sopranos and Boardwalk Empire and that was several years ago. I would stream anything similar in future. I would only go back to DVDs if there was something that I was desperate to watch but couldn't stream legally.

I've got a Sony MiniDisc Car Stereo that's never seen a car

I still have my little portable and discs, great format (if you use it!).

I bought my parents a Blu-Ray player a few years back and some films to start them off, I dont think they've ever bought another disc or even watched all the originals as they prefer their streaming boxes.

Following the recent death of a relative we had huge problems donating DVDs and CDs to charity shops. They just don’t want them.
I bet they didn’t take vinyl 15 years ago but would now.

My mum still has and uses a VCR to tape soap operas:wacko:

Actually I do - I have a Sony MDS-JE480, MDS-S40 and a MZ-R700 MD Walkman, which has found a new lease of life, since I bought a little modeling amp that runs on batteries, that I plug it into.

Shame the software for the Walkman isn't supported anymore and doesn't work for Windows 10 or above
