We had our honeymoon in the Maldives and I learned to dive. On the way back through Dubai, I bought a dive computer thinking it would come in handy. It has not come out of it's box since.

I had an unsolicited email a few years ago advertising an interesting product that was triple-guaranteed to improve my love life.

I felt a bit let down.

Be honest now, who due to this thead has not googled Lakeland Plastics to check out their wares?

Some of us don't need to as we get sent the catelogue(s) regularly!

Though I admit I may own a thing or two from there that hasn't really been used, equally I own a few of their products that are regularly used such as the extra wide silicone coated rolling pin, pre-cut silicone paper discs for lining cake tins, mini sauce whisks etc.

When I was at Uni, a book of tennis practice exercises. I never got past the first page; it was way too serious in its approach for me. Most of the tennis we played was just for fun - hours on end until it was too dark to see the ball.

Called into Lakeland in York yesterday. The prices of their solutions has gone up since last time I called in (last year). They've got a "Hairy Bikers" section. Spotted this.

About £7.00 for a spanner shaped bottle opener a bit much.

I was wondering if anyone would say this. I bought one many years ago and used it once and then ended up leaving it in the box. But then I got right into it and I use it at least a couple of times a month and have done for three or four of years. I find it therapeutic and I'm a bit of a dab hand at it now.

Okay Uncle, I'm willing to be persuaded as the results have been sketchy but not disastrous on the 2 occasions I used it.

Do you clamp it firmly to a worktop as I found I needed 3 hands (and possibly 4 would have been useful)

What egg/flour mix do you use? Jamie suggested to serve 4, 500gms of flour, 3 large eggs and 8 egg yolks!
The amount of eggs put me off.
