I’ll catch up on it. I watched Vera.

They filmed loads of it around where I used to live in Whitley Bay, it was a lot of fun mooching around and watching them, and now my neighbour's little boy is an extra in one of the episodes.

Can't get away with her accent though, it's all over the place. I read some spurious claim that it's meant to represent a "Northumberland" accent, which is fine, but not when it changes all the time!

The 'Cobra' series is currently airing on TV and has been a disappointment to me so far; a massive solar flare has blacked out the world, but instead of concentrating on how people are coping, the show is padded out with "personal issues" that make it seem like a soap, for example prime Min Robert Carlyle's daughter is a junkie, and a female minister finds time to hop into bed with some bloke (yawn).

PS- In my opinion the best post-apoc series ever made was 'Survivors' (1975), i've got the boxed set, here's a clip from it-

We're now on about Ep2 of Spooks Series2. Brilliant stuff! Amazed that a 20yo show about spying (of all things), complete with quite a lot of gadget-chat, can be so un-dated.
I quite enjoyed Vigil, but they could learn a lot - before making a 3rd series - by watching Spooks!

(Fun Fact - they had to change the name when shown in the States, due to the racist slang of the title. Called it MI5, which seems a terribly boring name. And they couldn't use it today as everyone would expect a Tom Cruise spin-off :P )

Finished the last episode of Fargo season 5 last night...im feeling sad it's over and jealous of anyone not started watching it yet.
Near enough perfection for tv,a solid 9.5 out of 10 😍

That's good so looking forward to 5.,. I felt series four lacked any 'fargoness' and was just an above average 'rise of a gangster' series.

I know what you mean,as far as Fargo goes it was probably my least favourite. But still good ! But as Fargo fans we crave perfection....I guarantee you'll love it or your money back.
Don't read any articles or spoilers though 😁

Julia. It's a hoot though best remember that it's perhaps 'inspired by' rather than 'based on'. Just finished season 1 and looking forward to season 2. Sarah Lancashire gives a fine comic performance (but darn me if I can't always understand her! Just as in Happy Valley) An excellent supporting cast too and I am really enjoying David Hyde Pierce's performance in particular.

Well, write it down boy ......
Watched (on catch up) Finders Keepers on channel 5. Only first episode so far, but it's shaping up nicely. About two metal detectorists who find a load of Anglo Saxon treasure and are not sure what to do with it.

Series 5 of Dr Who (2005) - The Matt Smith one. For people complaining the new Doctor Ncuti Gatwa was too 'fun' its worth remembering Matt Smiths first episodes are also very fun (with a suitable splintering of menace). Though I think this is about to change as there is a 2 parter starring The Weeping Angels to watch next!
