The British version of the survival challenge show which is like the US version, but with Benny Hill music in the background.

Just looking up what they chose as their 10 bits of kit and see:

I have some questions raised by this programme:

"Do bears shoot in the woods?"
"Can you eat beaver?"
"In a fight between a moose and a bear, which one would win?"

It's a documentary on the Jonestown Massacre, I'm about half way through and it's really good. Looks like it was originally shown on BBC.

Ah the Storyville documentaries are always worth watching. There's dozens on the iPlayer but not this one.

Not an expert on this but my understanding of evolutionary theory is that a fit moose will always outrun a bear and a fit bear will stand a good chance of catching a very young or sick moose. See Richard Dawkins, The Blind Watchmaker, Chapter 7, Constructive Evolution.

On Thursday evening (3rd). BBC2 repeated the first ever episode of 'Goodness Gracious Me'
It must have been in the very late 90's when it premiered, at a guess?

I recorded it, & have just watched it

This inaugural show introduced us to;
'The Coopers' & 'The Robinsons' (the 2 'desperate to be English' couples)
'The 'Bangra Muffins' ("Innit!")

My new not-so-secret-I-talk-about-it-here guilty pleasure is going back to being a 70's kid again, I discovered that the Legend channel has started airing The Six Million Dollar Man from episode 1 (7pm). Haven't seen it since its original run....Cue running in slow motion

Currently on Carnival Row series 2... not idea what's going on but it still looks great.

Spookily I just finished the series yesterday. It did get a bit messy but they wrap it up quickly in the last episode. No series 3.

Around the time GGM started showing, me and my friends discovered at weekends after the clubs had shut the Indian restaurants were still open. I'm quite sure if you reverse these roles and that's me lol

A an aside a workmate called James married an Indian lady and her friends had seen the show so took to teasing him by calling him Jam-ez. He found it irritating but realised he couldn't let on and show weakness else they'd keep doing it. He smiled and laughed and they of course got bored with the gag in a day or two
