strike season 5
Now i am not keen on harry potter but i do like this
https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b093ypxy

I think it suffers from the same flaw as the HP books; a bunch of tired formulas chopped up and rehashed into something ... well, new-ISH.
But I still enjoy them! (I very much doubt I could plod through the books).

Proper Sunday teatime telly (to get us through the dark times until All Creatures ... returns.)

The iplayer has the US version of Ghosts. They get shorter episodes but a longer series. I'm really enjoying how they have converted it to the States.
We tried it, but it's like they took the British version and thought "how can we suck all the humour out of this?"
We only got as far as the second episode to be fair.

Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities... imagine a high budget modern day Hammer House of Horror or Tales of the Uninspired.

Each episode begins with Roald Dahlesque introduction from Del Toro himself, followed by about twenty minutes captivating intrigue and strangeness before becoming absolute utter garbage. After four episodes of the same sh!t... I'll not bother watching the rest.

Was recommended The Bear by a friend...American comedy series.Well that's what it's advertised as,I haven't found it that funny but it's brilliant so far Anyway three episodes in and I'm hooked.
Also finished watching The English which I enjoyed.

When it was first shown I loved this programme, but having watched it in the last weeks, I think I must have grown up a bit since.

I curled up, after work, on the sofa and watched Series 5 of strike, all eps. It was good but I preferred the book. It’s my favourite of the 6 books so was keen to see what they had done with it.

The guy with the massive moustache that was on this has a new programme called Escape to the Chateau which shows him and his wife doing up a massive french chateau. It was actually more interesting than I thought it would be.

I'm neary finished The Walking Dead, its definately been a slog but I started so I'll finish. Its not been a patch on the comic (which about 1/4 though) but there are very few post apocalyptic shows on that I enjoy. The only downside is with all the annouced spin offs I have a fair idea of who is going survive to the end. They have at least introduced a new type of zombie at last, will be interesting to see what happens further with that.

I think the books are nearly always better just because they can pack a lot more in. I’ve almost made my way through all Peter James Roy Grace series that they televised a couple with John Sim. They are the same as it’s hard to pack a whole book into a couple of hours viewing.

The massive moustache bloke got his tv break hosting the terrible Scrapheap road shows at tailend of the Scrapheap Challenge era, when CH4 wouldn't fund a proper new series.

i have never been into even as a kid stuff where kids /teens save the world/story to sell more copies is probably the reason i have an ingrained dislike of HP in general
