Briefly;
Mulcahy is facing a visit by a superior, & wants all the inhabitants of the 4077th, to help him prepare & be on their best behaviour, but is thwarted at every turn, leaving him annoyed & frustrated
Meanwhile two GIs are brought in; one is in a bad way, after surgery, his buddy (Swayze) begs to stay with him, till he comes round
During the course of the episode, Swayzes bloods show signs of him being in the early stages of Leukemia
Hawkeye tries to persuade him to go to Tokyo, for tests/treatment
Swayze wants to stay, with his buddy, as he realises that treatments probably won't work (& they didn't in the 50s)
Mulcahy interjects, talking to Hawkeye, & then Swayze
Apologies, the sound's not good, you need to turn it up

Cut to Sunday morning, & the mess hall (doubling at the Chapel) is awaiting the arrival of Mulcahy
He arrives late, dishevelled & contrite

1. I'm not ashamed to admit, but this one does it for me, Mulcaheys sermon is a belter
Another one that gets me blubbing everytime I see it, is Jenny Agutter, on the platform, when she sees her father through the steam & that "Daddy!, My Daddy!!"........... tears roll...............
(the remake, with Jenny Agutter as the mother, doesn't have the same effect)
