Some great actors in EP 1,suprised me how short there roles were !

Haha yes! <saying no more, due to spoilerage>

One thing did drive me nuts; I agree that generally show-dont-tell is good, and a little mystery is also good ... but christallmighty, would it have hurt to know why/how Emily's character had come to be there, and what her relationship actually WAS with the Bad Guy?!? Their scenes made almost no sense whatsoever. aaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
<cue a bunch of smart-arses saying how obvious it was, and how spoon-feeding back story is for Sun-readers etc etc ... >

Well, just when you thought it couldn't get any camper/gayer, they've raised the bar, and Sarah Paulson isn't even in it!

I'm thoroughly enjoying it, but then it ticks a lot of boxes of stuff I'm into so that's to be expected. Denis O'Hare is kind of stealing the show, his character is great and suitably broken. I think the last two episodes air tonight, so hopefully I'll be able to finish it off.

It dripped quality and high production values from every pore. Very optimistic after Ep1.
You'd love the film The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.
In fact I'm going to watch it again now it's in my head.
Beautifully shot and requires concentration and patience....that's all I'm saying.

The new 'Trucking Hell' earlier, with far better editing, & narration
Someone from the Channel must have watched & thought "Oh dear!"

Star-Trek : Deep Space 9

To my shame, I've not seen this episode before
It's such a well-crafted/superbly written story
To see the regulars; Nog, Dax, Julian, as their older selves was interesting (Nog, as a Captain!!)

The critics seemed to love it too, if you open the 'wiki link'

There's very few programmes/films/characterisations, that can bring a tear to my eye (1), but this did at points
Seeing a grown-up & married Jake was nice too!!

Well worth a watch:okay:

1. The Railway Children is one of those few. it's the scene near the end, where Bobbi (Jenny Agutter) sees her father through the steam, as the train departs, & runs down the platform, shouting "Daddy!, My Daddy!!"
I'm 57, & and any time I watch, or sometimes even think about it (as I am now) can start me blubbing:cry::cry:

Well, write it down boy ......
SAS Rogue Heroes on BBC. Poignant moments among the mayhem, I can accept it was just like that, no need to embellish anything! Most of them must have been psychopaths though!
