I watched the first episode of 11.22.63 last night. If you've never heard of it, it's a time travel thriller in which a young man travels back to the early 60s on a mission to avert the assassination of JFK. It's got pedigree (adapted from Stephen King's novel, directed by Kevin McDonald, exec produced by JJ Abrams). I've read the book so it will be interesting to see if the series follows the same path. It's only on Hulu at the moment, or your favourite illicit download site.

Still enjoying Gotham, series 2 is even better than series 1.

Happy Valley is still the best thing on the box and it was good to hear that the BBC have already commissioned Happy Valley series 3.

Sticking with The Night Manager which started well, but seems to have slowed down a touch until the last ten minutes of this weeks episode.
The real problem though is that I can't watch Hugh Laurie without thinking of George from Blackadder...

Speaking of JJ Abrams, I'm really enjoying Fringe at the moment [just started Season 4]. If you like the X-Files, or geeky SF stuff in general ,then you'll love this- Olivia Dunham can give Dana Scully a serious run for her money!

I like The Night Manager, it's subtle and intriguing. I expect people who like the Bond films are finding the lack of loud explosions and high-speed chases a bit difficult to come to terms with, but I'm happy not to be bored by predictable stuff like that .
I agree. The Night Manager is very classy with a real hint of menace which it will no doubt will reveal in latter episodes.

Wanted. An Australian crime thriller about two women on the run from dodgy cops. Not bad, but not great.
Wolf Blood. A CBBC show about growing up and dealing with sh!t... had no idea a fourth series was in the pipeline or even necessary, but we'll see how it goes.
Happy Valley... more of the same. I think it's driven by characters rather than plot.
Lucky Man. I just want to put it behind me... when's it going to end?
Ugly House to Lovely House... I bet George came up with the title for this show all on his own. Can't beat the narrative of a home restoration, even if the repeated use of 'unbelievable' does start to grate... at least he's not saying 'look at this/that' all the time like in his shed show.
Best Walks With a View... middle aged man bait Julia Bradbury reveals some of the countryside's best kept secrets to couch potatoes throughout the nation.
